This is kind of a cheat post but I guess they can’t all be winners.
My experience at the Warrior Dash was featured in a regional magazine, Breathe, for their March/April issue. The article, which is about how to prepare for an adventure race, is here (page 9):

(The author of the article has a blog and posted the story here:

)
This doesn’t check anything off my list although it’s close to Thing to Do #63: Make the Front Page of a National Newspaper. I’ll take “be mentioned in small regional magazine” for now.
From Breathe magazine’s website:
“Breathe is a lifestyle magazine for on-the-go women, offering insightful perspectives on health and fitness, food and nutrition, outdoor adventures, as well as style and living. Whether you’re a marathon runner or forever running errands, you’ll connect with Breathe’s candid, woman-to-woman style features, tips and takes on the latest living trends. Breathe is an ongoing dialogue inspired by stories of women who are at the forefront of their field, whether they be the athlete or domestic diva.”
I have to say, it’s pretty strange to read about yourself as if someone is narrating your experience. Do you think in the movie version of my life, I could get Morgan Freeman to be my narrator?
