On the 40 things to do before I’m 40 list is to drink all the beers on the GQ beer list. You would think this would be one of the easier (and enjoyable) things to do but honestly, the reason I haven’t tried most of these beers is because I simply can’t find them! Below is the total list. The beers in red are the ones I haven’t tried yet and in black are the ones I have. It’s on my 2012 goal list to drink 20 this year. Let me know if you find any of the missing beers in your neck of the woods (my birthday is in April if you were trying to think of a gift to get me…)

This is a great item to add to the list! haha i LOVE beer. i might add this one to mine.
I think I’ve tried the Monk’s Sour Ale before, but that was a long time ago. If it’s the one I’m thinking about then the manufaturer stopped making them years ago. But then again, it could just be a beer with a similar sounding name.
Yeah, I think this may be the case with a few of these beers. Like, Sam Adams Utopia only is made every other year and is in extreme limited quantities. Oh well, if it doesn’t exist any more, can’t do anything about it!
Beer challenges are always fun! I might steal it now that my Pub Passport is done. The Great Lakes Brewing Company is an Ohio company, so I might be able find that one around.
Great Lakes just announced that they are coming to the Raleigh area in February so hopefully I’ll be able to cross that one off the list!
I can probably hook you up with the Sierra Nevada you haven’t tried. I think that is reason enough to make another trip to CA.
Actually, I had a friend go to the West Coast for business and he brought back the Sierra Nevada for me! Isn’t that awesome!? But yes, I probably need to make a trip out to CA anyway!
