Officially the reason I’m going to the Bahamas is for my best friend’s bachelorette party. However, as Matron of Honor, I am the one that planned it and the weekend of my 30th birthday happened to be one of the cheaper trips. There are only three of us going and I think its going to be a blast. All three of us have similar temperaments and even though the bathrooms on cruise ships are incredibly tiny, hopefully we’ll be able to make it for three nights.
To complete this item on my 101 Things to Do Before You Die list, we are flying down to Miami this Thursday to go out on South Beach to party; I’ve been to South Beach before but I was there too early in the evening and still haven’t experienced all that South Beach has to offer. We board the ship Friday afternoon to head to Nassau, which we will arrive in at 10am Saturday. We stay in Nassau until Sunday morning at 7:30am. I’m usually all about exploring a new country, and we had considered doing a booze cruise with snorkeling or going to Atlantis, but we’ve decided to just stay on the boat and sun, drink, and read all day. Since we are actually staying in port overnight, we get to experience the Nassau nightlife before spending all day Sunday on the boat again. My birthday is Monday, so I’ll spend that day traveling back home, although Alex has promised to pick me up and take me to my favoritist restaurant, Johnny Carinos.
This is going to be the first vacation I’ve ever taken where I have no plans to do anything! I’ll report on the vacation afterwards, but don’t be disappointed if I don’t remember much!
