Thing to Do #13: Find Someone With the Same Name

jessica_simpsonJessica_AlbaJessica_Biel+Nov_10_2008This one was of the (few) things I had already done before I got the book.  I met my first Jessica (s) my first day of Kindergarten in 1985-Jessica Adams and Jessica O’Neal.  Yes, in a graduating class of 120, there were 3 Jessica’s and all my life I’ve been called Jessica M.  Even when I worked at NBC 17, on our community team of 7 there were two Jessica’s!  In 1980, Jessica was the third most popular name for babies, so this was probably the easiest thing to do on my list.

However, people like my brother Winston may find this thing to do challenging.  He wasn’t able to check this off of HIS list until a year ago when he finally met another Winston.  I have a friend Sora that had to travel back to Korea to meet someone with her name and I have a friend Sumner who has yet to meet a person that share’s her name.  Do you have an interesting name that no one else shares?

(Edit:  Since having told people about this Thing to Do, its apparently been interpreted that I am supposed to find someone with my WHOLE name, not just another Jessica.  Well, there are three (THREE!?) Jessica Meadows that go to my dentist and when I worked there one summer, I met one of them.  So there).

About Jessica

Mild mannered marketing drone by day. Bucket list adventurer by late afternoon. Having first drafted a list in high school, Jessica's list of things to do before she dies has slowly taken over her life and consumes her thoughts. Because of the list, she has traveled to Mordor, plummeted towards the Earth's surface from 13,000 feet up, cavorted with whale sharks in open water, skinny dipped herself into the Guinness World Book, and cursed the day she was born during the last miles of a Marathon. It's safe to say that if Jessica is doing it, it's on the list.
